Terms of Service

Welcome to MyPuzzleBook. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MyPuzzleBook website, design tools and printed-book service (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

MyPuzzleBook is a software-as-a-service platform that allows you to design a custom puzzle book and order one or more printed copies. The platform generates puzzles, lets you choose a cover and title, and forwards your order to a print and fulfilment partner.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring the information you provide (including shipping address and payment details) is accurate and up to date. You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your use of the Service.

3. User responsibilities and acceptable use

• Do not upload content you do not own or have a license to use (including cover images).
• Do not use the Service to create books that are unlawful, defamatory, hateful, obscene, or that infringe the rights of others.
• Do not attempt to access, probe or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Do not use automated tools to place bulk orders without our written consent.

We may refuse, cancel or remove any order or content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.

4. Intellectual property

The MyPuzzleBook platform, including its software, design system, generated puzzles and branding, is owned by MyPuzzleBook and protected by applicable IP laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service to design and order books for your personal use.

You retain ownership of any custom content you upload (such as cover images). By uploading content you grant us a limited license to store, process and reproduce that content solely to produce and deliver your order.

5. Pricing, payment and taxes

Prices are displayed at checkout in the indicated currency and include applicable VAT where required. Shipping costs and any duties are shown before you confirm your order. Payment is processed securely by our payment partner. By placing an order you authorise us to charge the selected payment method.

6. Production, shipping and risk

Each book is printed on demand specifically for you. Production typically takes up to 3 business days and shipping 5–7 business days within Europe. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery.

7. Refunds and replacements

Because each book is custom-made for you, the statutory right of withdrawal for distance sales does not apply once production has started, in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU Art. 16(c). We will gladly replace any book that arrives damaged, defective or materially different from your approved design — contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos at simon@brandguys.se.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyPuzzleBook is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service for maintenance, security or business reasons.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, liability and governing law) will survive.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Swedish courts, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
